A special meeting was held among the Sri Lankan Military Commander General Jagath Jayasooriya and Sri Lankan American Ambassador Petricia Punninaz. The American Embassy’s Defense Division Officer Lieutenant Colonel Lawrence Smith also participated in this meeting.

During the meeting the present security situation and the northern and eastern developments were discussed. At a time, America had informed of processing investigations from former Military Commander General Sarath Fonseka, American Ambassador’s meeting with Military Commander is much noted.
