Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Stephen Smith, has visited Sri Lanka today to discuss the issues of  illegal migrants intruding Australia. He said people even after the war in Sri lanka are continuously on detention in camps, hence illegal migrants are intruding Australia.

Stephan Smith mentioned, at a time the Sri Lankan government had won the war, political settlements should processed to have permanent peace in Sri Lanka. On a statement issued yesterday he said, such action would pave way to obstruct the increase of illegal migrants intruding Australia from Sri Lanka. He had further said during his visit to Sri Lanka he would meet Sri lankan Foreign Affairs Minister Rohitha Bogolgamma and discuss regarding these migrant issues and discussions would be of granting assistance for rehabilitation activities to Sri Lanka, as the war has come to an end in Sri Lanka was mentioned by Stephan Smith, Australian Foreign Affairs Minister.
