A new plan should be submitted to settle the racial crisis by the Sri lankan government - Britain

British External Affairs Secretary David Milband had insisted President Mahinda Rajapakse to implement a new plan immediately to settle the racial issue in Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan situation is observed after the Tamil Eelam Liberation tigers got defeated from last year, in the month of May and in this situation, it is the highest opportunity to settle the racial crisis in Sri Lanka individually by the government was stated by Milband. He said he had submitted a report in regard to this to the External Affairs Ministry.

Meanwhile David Miliband will attend the World Tamils conference which is scheduled to be held in the forthcoming days in London, and his attempts are to bring more strength towards this issue, was mentioned by British Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The British medias has published a news item, the participation of David Miliband at the World Tamil conference, will create more problems to the relationship which it has now with the Sri Lankan government, because the World Tamil conference is held to insist the Tamil Eelam policies. But Miliband has discussed some positive opinions to safe guard the minority people’s rights and a settlement to their crisis was mentioned by the British External Affairs Ministry.

Meanwhile it is stated malpractices had occurred during the last Presidential Election in Sri lanka and Britain had insisted the Sri Lankan government to expedite investigations to discard such allegations.
