Sri Lankans who had been detained for the past six months for ransoms by Somalia Sea Pirates were released. A Captain and two crew members were released accordingly.

The wife of the said ship crew member Sarath Weerawansa stated that her husband had been released for a long period. She said, she got the information through the Sri Lankan High Commission functioning at Nairobi the city of Kenya. The said Sri Lankans were trapped from the Telo Loila ship which went from Somalia to Dubai.
