Reports states another ship on board with 23 Sri Lankan crew, had been abducted by the Somalia pirates. This commercial ship which is registered at British Bermuda has been hijacked by the sea pirates. The crew were 23 Sri Lankans, Philippines and two from Syria .

The Delka ship which weighed 11 thousand ton had been hijacked by the sea pirates from a distance of 12 sea miles away from Oman sea region yesterday evening. The said ship while hijacked had been travelling from Egypt to Iran. Meanwhile another ship with 13 Sri Lankan and Greek crew was hijacked by the Somalia pirates. The Somalia Pirates had demanded two million American dollars as ransom to release the ship which belonged to the United Arab Emirates along with the crew.
